The role of Cohesion Policy and the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034

This EU Local Dialogue will be hosted by Adam Struzik (PL/EPP), President of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, at Conference Room in Resursa, 1 Maja 45, Żyrardów (Poland). 

The upcoming meeting will provide an in-depth look at the European Union’s cohesion policy and its impact on Poland, with a particular focus on the Mazovia region. Participants will learn how European Funds have influenced regional development, which investments and projects have been implemented so far, and what results have been achieved. The session will also include announcements on the planned directions of support under the new EU financial perspective for 2028–2034, offering valuable insights into future opportunities.

In addition to the policy overview, the event will feature a discussion on current calls for applications under the Funds for Mazovia, giving local representatives a chance to explore practical ways to access funding. The second part of the meeting will highlight successful projects that demonstrate the tangible benefits of EU support. These include the comprehensive revitalization of the Fabryczna Settlement Center in Żyrardów, presented by the city’s President, as well as two innovative initiatives: Mazovia School of the Future and Vocational Mazovia of the Future. A ceremonial cheque handover to the two project partners from the Żyrardów subregion will follow, underscoring the collaborative spirit of these efforts.

Finally, the President of the Mazowieckie Regional Loan Fund will present financing opportunities available to entrepreneurs, with a special focus on young people starting their careers. 

The overarching aim of the meeting is to inspire students and local leaders to actively leverage European funds for business, infrastructure, and social projects, fostering growth and innovation across the region. This event promises to be an engaging platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and motivation for the next generation of changemakers in Mazovia.
