The Association of Irish Regions (AIR) Training Seminar is an annual flagship event in Ireland dedicated to regional development, governance and planning. The two day training seminar serves as a capacity-building platform for local and regional leaders to discuss strategies for balanced regional growth and to share best practices in public policy.
AIR 2026 will take place at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th February 2026.
Elected members, TDs, Senators, MEPs, and stakeholders from across the Regional Assemblies are invited to participate. This year’s seminar focuses on how regions can address national challenges through a local and regional lens, with the overarching theme:
“The Regions Looking Forward to the Coming Decade”
The two-day seminar includes lunch on both days, as well as a Wednesday evening dinner with a keynote speaker.
The cost to attend is €160, which will be invoiced to the organisation of each attendee.
