After failing a pitch inspection, tonight's SSE Airtricity Premier Division match between Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk at Tallaght Stadium has been postponed.
The game was in doubt following close to 24 hours of persistent rain in County Dublin, with officials making the call well in advance of the clash which was due to kick-off at 8pm.
A new date for the fixture featuring the champions and the side who won the First Division last season will be announced in due course.
